Are you struggling to stick to your fall workouts now that the weather is turning cold and the mornings and evenings are getting darker? You're not alone.
 
My favorite way to get excited about working out is a simple one: I update my workout playlist. With some new get-up-and-get-moving tunes ready, I hit "play" instead of hitting snooze; and I re-energize my runs instead of relaxing at home.

There are several great songs on the new Ben Folds Five album: Erase Me, Michael Prayter, Draw a Crowd, & Do It Anyway. "Do It Anyway" is especially good to get you going if you don't feel like working out. Report
I like some songs on the list but Gangnam Style it's my favorite and my kid every time we listen and it's over he asks for more. Report

I love music....it really can get me pumped. Especially if I listen to Nickelback, Saving Abel, Seether, Drowning Pool, Halestorm, Static-x, Skrillex, Linkin Park, Atom Smash, Five Finger Death Punch. I love rock, and when I am at the gym the more agressive the song the harder I workout. Listening to pop or bubblegum type music does nothing for me unless its just a dance thing. Report

Now, how about one for men to do cardio to? ColdPlay? Nicki Minaj and Keisha? If I were 22 maybe, but I am in my late late late 30's, and AM a self admitted music snob. I mean, heck, I like beats and I like hooks, but for example Rolling Stone's "Start Me Up" is ten times as pumping as anything by Nicki Minaj Report

I'm a child of the 80's, so I love listening to hair metal during workouts. Dr. Feelgood by Motley Crue and Welcome to the Jungle by Guns and Roses keep my pace up on the elliptical! Report
Gangnam Style is a great workout song! If your a runner, or just need a song to get you moving, I suggest Yelle's Comme Un Enfant(Freaks Remix). I like to exercise to dance tunes, so just about anything by Marina and the Diamonds (especially Radioactive or Primadonna) or just about anything by 2NE1. The latter is a K-pop band but it is so cool and upbeat! Report

I got interested in K-Pop (Korean Pop Music) this summer, before Gangnam Style went viral and now I only have K-Pop on my Ipod for running. If anyone else wants to check it out, just to put some variety into your workout music, I'd suggest you look into Korean artists like Super Junior and 2NE1. I've no idea what their songs are about coz I don't speak Korean but the beats are awesome. Report
I've got three that I can't stop listening to and make me run a bit farther and faster ever time, "I ain't your mama" by Maggie Ray, "Truck Yeah" by Tim McGraw and lastly "Baggage claim" by Miranda Lambert. Report

For indoor workouts I completely agree, but the picture shown was of a woman outdoors. Please ladies, be aware of your surroundings. You don’t want to live your life in fear, but you don’t want to be a mugging victim either (or worse). Maybe only 1 earbud?
