Hi! I'm Lisa Kay. I'm a 52 year old wife and mother of two beautiful daughters. I've been overweight for most of the past 26 years and I'm ready to change my life as well as my health.

I'm sick of this 'fat suit' that I've been lugging around. I want to be free! I feel like a thin, fit 20 year old on the inside. On the outside, I look like someone who doesn't care very much about them self. My knees ache. My back hurts if I stand too long. I have trouble finding clothes that fit and that I like. My confidence has suffered. But worst of all, I know I'm setting a very unhealthy example for my girls. They deserve better. They deserve a Mom that can keep up with them. And one who cares about herself enough to get healthy so she can be with them as long as possible.

I want to live a healthy, active life. I wouldn't turn up my nose to wearing cute clothes and looking better in a swimsuit, either! I want to ride a bike without my butt feeling like it's going to fall off for several days afterwards. I want to show my girls that you can eat right, be active and and have fun doing it.

My Goals:

To start with, I'm focusing on getting under 200 pounds.

My Program:
I'm following the Spark*D People plan.

Doing at least 30 minutes of activity 6 days a week.

Drinking at least 64 oz. of water a day.

Personal Information:
I'm a Christian. I think that's the most important thing to know about me. I love my family and all four of my kitties. I like to read, crochet and listen to all kinds of music. I watch a lot of movies and TV. I'll watch any kind of reality show out there. Sort of a couch potato at times. I'm into genealogy. My favorite thing is just hanging out with my family.

Other Information:
I live in a small Central Ohio town on the same street where I grew up. I have a husband, Keith. We have been married for almost 16 years. I have two daughters, Chelsea, 26 and Lindsay, 15. I've been a stay at home Mom/housewife since having my second daughter and I love it. I'm glad that my girls will have memories of me being home before and after school and at school as a volunteer. I'm sort of a tomboy and I get along much better with men than I do with most women. I'm Methodist, bottle-blond, and sarcastic almost all of the time. I try to enjoy each and every day that I'm given. :)
