Hi, I'm Claire- I'm 32 years old and have been on SP for about two years to lose about 30lbs. Since joining, I've become a committed runner and am reaching goals I previously thought were unachievable. On Feb. 28th 2010 I ran my first marathon!

I have learned that it's not about perfection but about commitment and being consistent. Sometimes it's 2 steps forward, one back, but progress does come! I still have some weight to lose but I am on my way.

Thank you SP!

I saw your page on the DC Spark Page. I am also a big believe in yoga - it's completely changed my physical and mental state. Good luck with the running!

Thanks for your comment on my page! I wish you a lot of fun in your marathon and have a great 13 mile run (we did that last week, so only doing 7 today!). Just think, in a few weeks, we'll be saying, "We only have to run 13 miles today!" emoticon - Tia

Just read your blog and wanted to stop by your page to say that your progress is great! I am very jealous. My 10k is in 3 weeks time but after a few weeks of injuries and hit and miss training my Physioterapist has said no running for 2 weeks! emoticon

I don't think I will be able to take part now but your story has made me think of things in a more positive light! I will rest my ankle and get back into running when I am able. Thanks
