2020- back again, again...I think I'm finally getting a handle on this weight loss thing...the book "Shrink Yourself" has been a huge eye-opener for me

Goals:
I will eat between 1200-1400 calories 5 days out of 7 - I will do 5:2 eating
I will walk at least 1500 steps 5 days out of 7 (this goal will be increased over time)
I will lose between 1 and 2 pounds per week
I will cut back on junk snacks/evening eating, except for fruit, yogurt or possibly nuts
I will lose 100 pounds overall
I will lose between 16-20 lbs in the next 13 weeks (by April 30/2020)

(I weigh myself every day but I will update my weight here every week)

    Thank you for the Spark Goodie. I just discovered Joe Dispenza last week while listening to the podcast Phit -n-Phat. He is absolutely amazing. Yes, after all these years I am discovering why all the steps that people have taught us really work and why it is important to do them. Retraining the brain is logical, but I had no idea that it was also the explanation why it is so difficult to continue making changes unless you take charge of your brain and become the controller.
    Just last night I felt a little hungry before I went to bed and I remembered, oh, it is ok - there is no need to feed that thought. But then that was followed by another thought - oh, but you have some new delicious cheese in the fridge. I then chuckled to myself and thought, I know what you are doing, Brain. But guess what? I am in charge now. And my thoughts settled down and off to sleep I went.
