I used to have on here how I got to where I am today, weight wise. I had been doing very good; then I hit a slump – a long slump. At the end of this slump, I had an epiphany… it didn’t matter how I got here, the simple matter of the fact is that I AM here – but I don’t want to be. So I really have to do something about it – I have to reinvent myself.

This isn’t an easy task, I mean to really do it and mean it. I have to acknowledge a lot of “bad” things about myself and then change them, one by one. I keep telling my friends who refuse to grow up “You’re an adult now – you have to take responsibility for your actions – you have to own them.” So now I’m saying this to myself. I have to own up to how I got here.

I also have to own the idea that I can change. I have to acknowledge my strengths and my weaknesses. I have to build up those things about me that can help guarantee my success and I have to address those issues that may cause roadblocks along the way.

I also have to realize that I am the only one that can do this. Yes, having a great support system through family, friends, coworkers and my SP buddies is wonderful; they will all truly help me along the journey. BUT – I am the only one that can lose the weight. Blogging everyday won’t take an inch off of my waist; commenting to my buddies daily won’t shed a pound; tracking my food/calories/fitness won’t make those “skinny” jeans fit any faster; BUT, all of these things will help keep my motivated, if I use them correctly. And as a side bonus to typing all of this stuff – this is a moment out of my day that it is impossible for me to munch mindlessly, because for the life of me, I cannot type and eat at the same time!

Fitness Minutes: 4,493

My Goals:
Daily goals:
•Get at least 8 hours of sleep each night
•Blog/Comment before I go to work in the morning (which means getting up ½ hour early each morning)
•Drink 8+ glasses of water each day
•Eat all 3 meals daily (and maybe some healthy snacks too, but this isn’t a must for me)
•Eat 5 servings of fruits and veggies
•Consume 3 servings of dairy
•Eat at least 95g of protein a day (not to exceed 127g)
•Stay around 1,200 calories per day
•Track all food eaten each day
•Do at least 30 minutes of cardio a day and track it
•Take a multi-vitamin daily
•Do at least 15 minutes of “extra” stuff while watching TV in the evening (crunches, lunges, etc.) every day
•Do my STC for my PMS team each day
•Do the daily challenge for my 1 Day Challenge team each day
•Prepare my lunch for following day before I go to bed (for work nights only)

Weekly goals:
•Lose at least 3 pounds each week
•Weigh myself only once each week

My Program:
Cardio - a minimum of 30 minutes of cardio a day.

Strength training - a mimumum of 3 days a week.

Food - 1,200 calories/day.

Weekly classes (mimumum of)
1 Kickboxing class
1 Cycling class
1 Water fitness class
1 Flexibility class

Personal Information:
•At end of month 1, if 12+ pounds have been lost I reward myself with a manicure and pedicure
•At end of month 2, if 12+ pounds have been lost I reward myself with a 1 hour massage
•At end of month 3, if I have gotten to my goal weight of 130 pounds I reward myself with a facial and 2 new outfits and 1 new pair of shoes

    How are you today? For me, it was wonderful seeing so many loved ones on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The festivities are not over yet! I am attending a post-Christmas party tonight. Tomorrow I am going on a weekend trip and taking in some holiday lights at an amusement park.

    What are your New Year's Eve plans? I'm going to be home to stay out of the way of crazy party goers. Have a wonderful weekend, my friend! emoticon
