I am busy but ready to make a change...small steps to the big prize!
I am currently pushing and working hard to bring myself to a healthy BMI. The reason why I started was because I was tired of focusing on the obstacles that stop me from losing weight. I have to go to work...I have go to school...exercise takes too much of my time...NO!!! Even if all of these things are factors, the way I feel comes first.

I am putting my eyes on that "prize"!

My Goals:
Lose 20 lbs=New uniform and pedicure (Done!)

Lose 30 lbs=New boots and iTunes (Done!)

Lose 40 lbs= Buy an ipod
(currently have an MP3 player)

Lose 50 lbs=

-I want to have enough energy to run one mile...

(Short term goal)
-Walk a 5k=Done! 12/11/11

My Program:
-No More soft drinks!
- Eating meals that are low sodium, low fat, and high fiber
-Moving around on purpose...(exercise while watching tv, taking the stairs, etc.)
-Eating for a reason, not just for nothing
-Making the right food choices (ex: grilled chicken, beef only once a month, yogurt with fruit for snack, etc)
-Realizing that I CAN do this!

My name is Tania and I am here to make a change for me in 2011. I am a mom to 5 beautiful children, a wife, and a student. All of this is just the beginning!

Other Information:
Music keeps me on the move.
One way it helps is by keeping me motivated. Nothing like music to push you during a hard workout.

I lost 8 lbs on my own before finding Sparkpeople.

Always looking to my next goal and not giving up.
