Hi. I'm 24 & my whole life I've been active & pretty fit. Within the past 2 years though, I've gone through alot of medical problems & put on 85lbs. I'm overweight, unhappy, & depressed. I want to loose weight, but I do not have the support or motivation from people around me. I'm hoping with this new year, I can get back to the old me, & maybe make some friends along the way.

My Story is this:
Throughout High School I was athletic. Cheerleading to be exact. We stayed in shape as most high school athletes do. I was 135lbs. For being 6ft tall, I was considered very skinny, but I wasn't unhealthy. I ate whatever I wanted and worked out alot to keep off the weight.
After graduating, I stopped cheering, obviosuly, but I continued to caoch & that pretty much kept me in shape over the next few years. But in 2008 I switched Dr's & starting packing on the pounds. I've got Addison's Disease & Hypothyrodism (Addison's is an adrenal disease). I was becoming out of it, always tired, always hungry. I couldn't figure out what was the matter.
Finally after bouncing around to different Dr's, we found out that a medication my old Dr. had put me on for migraines, was expanding my hunger & therefore, everything I ate became extra pounds gained. That was in '08.
Now I'm about 255 & I would like to get back down to a better weight for me, which is about 185lb. Some might say that's a big difference, but everyone on here knows, when you're not at the weight you want to be at, you're uncomfortable with yourself, you no longer want to shop for clothes, you're self conscious when eating.
I just want to be happy & healthy again. I hope to meet alot of people on here who are in the same boat so to speak.
I need motivation & support. That's my main problem. I've allowed myself to eat & do pretty much whatever I want that I'm stuck in my habits. I need a new me... & the new year & joining SP hopefully will do the trick. :)

    haha i have the hip hop abs and yes it does fell super silly!!! i gave up on that dvd cause my room is small and that requires big moving space and if i did it in our gameroom or livingroom my parents and sisters would look at me like I'm a dork emoticon

    Pilates is really good for toning and tightning I'm planning on doing that dvd after loosing a bit of weight

    Hey yeah I did sign up for the 28 day bootcamp. I havent started on the dvds everyday though. I have the core system which is really good so im a stick to that one and p90x, just a couple of days not like the schedule because its really hard. A couple of years ago i would do the core system with cardio and i lost a lot of weight and had a hard stomach. The only problem is that I have a love, hate relationship with food. I'm like a junky i get clean for a while but than i got back to eating excessively. But I'm determined to make this a life style now.
