I have gained 25 pounds since I quit smoking 10 months ago, It has been hard on me because I have always been thin. I feel very large and can't believe I went from a size 4 to a 10/12. My goal is to get back down to 125 to 130 pounds by Oct. 1st.

APRIL 9,2008
I need to reintroduce myself, since I started SP my goals have changed, and so have I. I am so motivated at this point that I don't want to stop! I have lost 6 pounds in the last 3 weeks and am feeling great! My strength exercises have increased in length and reps, I've also started using my treadmill again. The weather is starting to get muggy now, so Glenda and I are walking 2 miles twice a day instead of 2.5. (sometimes we do) I have learned not to beat myself up if I fall off the wagon, there is always tomorrow to pick yourself back up! I am seeing things clearly again, as far as appreciating that I am alive and have the opportunity to get myself back in shape and be the best I can. This is it...the only life I will have, I want it to be FABULOUS!!!

HAPPY, HAPPY, JOY, JOY!! LIFE IS GOOD!! GET OUT THERE AND LIVE IT!!

My Goals:
Lose weight, eat smarter, get healthy and get over getting older. Stop feeling like an 18 year old trapped in a 42 year old body.


My Program:
I started the SP program mostly for guidance. I love the menus they provide as well as the excercise plans. I plan on following my diet to the T, watching my caloric and fat intake and knowing what I'm eating. I will walk my dog at least 2 miles twice a day (with leg weights). I will try to do strength training everyday, or at least 3 days a week. I also plan on advancing my strength training as soon as I realize it's too easy for me.



Personal Information:
Hi!! I'm Angela, 42 from Jacksonville, NC. I am a very bubbly and funny person (so my friends say). I live with my husband Tom, of 10 years, our dog Glenda, and our 3 cats, Biggie, Baby and Crook. I am 5'8" and have always been thin. When I was in my late 20's I was a size 0 through my mid 30's, then I crept up to a size 4 and pretty much stayed there until May of 2007. I quit smoking after 26 years, May 2007. My Dad died at 70 from lung cancer, on his deathbed he asked me to quit. It took me a year, but I finally gave it up with the help of Chantix. (Great if you want to quit smoking) I started nibbling all day to keep my mind off the withdrawals, and here we are 25 lbs. later, chubby and unhappy with the way I look. I have always worked out , walked , hiked, biked and stayed in good physical shape. The challenge for me is to stay MOTIVATED. So...Let's get started!


Other Information:
Give me the mountains anyday over the beach!!! I spent 9 years of my childhood growing up in Key West,FL. Mind you, this was the 70's, I was the perfect flower child. I was often found running around without shoes. My Dad was Navy so we moved a lot! Now I am married to a Marine and moving often again! I am not the type of person to sit still, I like to stay busy!!! Things I love:
