I have tried over the years to lose weight. Sometimes I would be moderately successful for a short time and then quit when I hit a plateau. That's me. A quitter. But now it's time to become a winner, by losing. Losing the weight, losing the defeatist attitude, losing the laziness when it comes to taking care of myself. I want my life back. I don't feel like this person inside, and I don't want to look like this person on the outside. I was considering weight loss surgery, but I really don't want to go that route, so I am getting serious about taking control of my eating and mobility situations. I can do this! I WILL do this!

My Goals:
To be able to move around freely again. To be able to enjoy time with my grandchildren.
To enjoy the outdoors once more by taking part in things!

My Program:
Not following a strict 'diet' but eating more healthfully. Much less take out food, more fruit and veggies. Making sure to drink enough water. Getting up and MOVING!!

Personal Information:
Name is Jo Ann, but everyone has called me Angel for years, so I identify more with that.
I was born in Virginia, but I've spent over half my life in Maryland, and consider myself a Marylander.

I've had four children, all of them grown and on their own now.

I have 2 wonderful grandsons, 16 and 10, and a lovely granddaughter, 6. I found myself less and less able to keep up with them and give them quality time because of my weight and the aches and pains I had in my joints. Already though, I've regained a great deal more mobility and the pains are gone. This is going to be great! :)
