This will be my second go 'round on Sparkpeople....As a previous member here almost two years ago, I lost 76 pounds within 4 months. But, as it often does, life launched about a bazillion lemons at me and I went off track.....way off track. I've gained back about 50 of those hard lost pounds, started smoking again.....just fell right back into the same old same old. So I've decided to start over. My life has once again changed recently, leaving me a bit optimistic and hopeful again. So, I decided to just start a new Spark profile too rather than revive my old one. I'm keeping my goals simple, short term and attainable. Here's to the Journey!!!

My Goals:
Short term goals --
~ Get in 30 minutes of cardio 5 days a week, & 30 minutes of strength training at least 3 days a week.
~Track all food eaten and water drank.
~Lose 10 pounds in August.
~Quit smoking.

Long Term Goals --
~Lose 200+ pounds
~Go to an amusement park & ride the rides with my daughter
~Have another baby.
~Move back to Portland, Oregon!

My Program:
Walking 1 mile on a treadmill at the gym every evening. That's my first baby step. Haven't done well with food yet, mainly because I'm also quitting smoking. I haven't had more than a couple drags off a cigarette a day for the last week and a half and the cravings are getting better.

Personal Information:
My name is Dawn, I'm 32 years old. I currently live in my hometown of Arkansas City, Kansas. It's not my favorite place in the world. I've lived in several different states in my life. Oregon was my favorite, Portland specifically. Hope to get back there someday. I have a 4 year old daughter who is my world. Her name is Willow. Until a few weeks ago I was a convenience store manager, but I'm now looking for new employment and thinking of going back to school.

Other Information:
I count him braver who overcomes his desires than he who conquers his enemies; for the hardest victory is the victory over self.
