I have gained 5 lbs. since the photo to the right. I want to be 10 lbs. less than I was there.

Hey SP, my name is April. I'm really in need in updating this thing so here it goes: I'm 26 and live in Corpus Christi, Texas with my h 2 yr. old daughter, Cadence. I've always struggled with my weight since childhood, but changed my lifestyle 5 years ago after getting out of a breakup with my ex-boyfriend. I felt miserable, I felt ugly and I was always lethargic. I knew I need to do SOMETHING. Something to improve myself and something to get my mind off of him. I started working out and eating right, but could never be consistent until my best friend began helping me. She gave me a jump start to finding a passion I never knew I'd have. I lost the weight then, but gained it back and then some (60 lbs.) during my pregnancy, but lost even MORE (a total of 80 lbs.!) after I gave birth to my daughter. I've been within the same 5 lb. range for a year now, but I'm wanting MORE! My goal is to lose 15 more lbs. which I know would make a DRAMATIC difference. I'm trying to become an aerobic instructor sometime this year (hopefully soon!) and want to be a great example for my future students. I love working out and hardly skip a day, but I'm not perfect and struggle with nighttime hunger and eating junk on the weekends.

I was married up until April when my ex and I decided to divorce. Things have been really difficult lately, bc I'm a single mom and I have even less time to do things than I used to. I'm pretty much an exercise addict, so I go as much as I possibly can, even though it can be hard to find a babysitter when the gym daycare is not open.

I help teach one aerobic class at Gold's Gym called Body Attack by Les Mills, but am unable to teach fully until I make my video to be evaluated and get fully certified. As I wrote above, I've always wanted to do this, but don't feel like it's the right time in the middle of this divorce. I have gained some fat (not really lbs.) but my body isn't as toned as it used to be a year ago, due to me turning to food for comfort. I know what I need to do, but I just need more help and support and time to figure everything in my life out.

My Goals:
To lose at least 15 lbs. by not eating so badly on the weekends.

My Program:
* Eating right (3 meals with snacks inbetween including protein and healthy carbs like veggies at each meal)

* Staying away from sugar - especially refined sugars
* Not allowing myself a cheat day because it throws me completely off track

* Tracking my food intake and exercise in a journal

* Drinking at least 64 oz. of water a day and staying away from diet sodas

* Exercising 6 times a week doing weights and cardio
