My 49th year is now upon me and I have spent more than half of my life struggling with weight. It''''s exhausting and I want to be done with it for good. I am here to look for help, support, education and hoping to create my own ''''''''''''''''lightbulb'''''''''''''''' moment.

My Goals:
Get healthy, feel fitter, lose weight.

The Biggie:
160 lbs by December 2016
5% Challenges:

5% Fall Challenge 2015 = 10lbs by Nov 21st.

5% = 10lbs by Aug 16 - goal met! 189 on final weigh in.
190 lbs by July 2014 (goal met August 1st)


My Program:
Make better snack choices, reduce alcohol consumption, increase exercise

5% Challenge Plan:

Exercise:
Burn 1,750 (1/2 lb) weekly
5 x Cardio (DVD's Zumba, Shaun T, Dance and Jessica Smith TV)
3 x strength (DVD's Bob Harper, RIPPED, Jessica Smith T )

Nutrition:

3-5 x no alcohol days
Reduce alcohol by mixing in water in between

Tracking as much as I can
Increase nutritional value of food I am eating - healthier snacking




Personal Information:
I am 49yrs old, and 2 yrears separated. I have no children but do have a Giant dog Dexter and tiny cat KC (Kitty Cat).

I've lived in the Bahamas for the past 15 yrs.


Other Information:
I love being in and around the water so enjoy scuba diving, snorkeling and boating. Love walking (aka strolling!) the beach with my dog Dexter.

I used to enjoy exercise so am slowly getting back into it - currently doing Rockin Body, Zumba, Dance with Julianna Cardio Ballroom, Bob Harper Pure Burn amongst others.

    Thanks for stopping by my yoga clothes blog. Wow, I had no idea there were so many kindred souls out there! Hope you can try yoga someday. I started for the flexibility issues, but now in my mixed levels class, there is more exertion, because the poses require strength and balance, and the vinyasa sequences get the heart rate up.
