Betsy, I had to come back and say I was excited to find a YouTube video of Joey the baby otter. He's adorable! In the video, he's playing with a white toy, and he rejects a pink jellyfish toy that they say he used to like. He's quite a communicator, isn't he, making his feelings very clear! I couldn't help laughing!

Hey, Betsy! Thank you for the goodie and the message. I think of you every time I see something about the fires in California, which were horrendous. I was glad to see in your blogs, though, that you haven't been too badly affected.

I was so sorry to hear about the loss of Rocco. I sure hope all is well with your inside babies.

And I hope you get the fall weather you long for. We have it over here, and I am very grateful, as summer is always sort of miserable for me. Fall is like heaven!

Please take care and stay safe, my dear.

Thank you for the art supplies goodie. I've been trying to steal away time in my basement studio painting, when I'm not riding the bike down there. I guess it's good to be busy, and still working, from home.

Hope everyone is well in your world. Nice to hear from you.

Oh Betsy, I just read California might have to go on lockdown again. I didn't read it thoroughly so will go back later when I'm not busy getting ready for work, but I immediately thought of you and hope you won't be too affected. I keep thinking how conscientious you were, being so careful when you had to go out, while all around you were people not following guidelines, so this must be very frustrating for you. I am so looking forward to when this thing is under control and we can restart our lives, or start over at a new place. I hope you and KT are doing well and staying safe.

We are okay over here--ironically there's a flareup in Okinawa, where there's a big US base. The governor of Okinawa is very irritated by that, as Japan has been so careful to keep the numbers down. Mask wearing remains universal among the Japanese populace, and I'm guessing the US soldiers in Okinawa didn't take that seriously enough. I wish Americans would stop fighting about masks! (Sorry to vent,) Anyway, take care, my friend.
