hi im a 41 year old wife and mother of 4 beautiful girls ages 7-22 after my second child i lost all of my weight on the akins diet, and kept it off for a couple of years. Then my next child came along and my memento from that little miracle is a whoping 65 pounds. So for the last 10 years I've ignored my weight problem. Wrapped myself up in my kids life. Slowly made my way up to almost 300 lbs. last January I decided something had to give so I decided to go keto. After some trial and error I’ve settled into a keto(ish) way of life and it suits me perfectly. I eat foods I love. (I’ve found i still love sugar but I feel better without it.) and I never have to go hungry. I’m so close to being under 200 lbs now with no intention of stopping. My family and I are healthier and happier than ever. Thank you to all my keto and SparkPeople family your support has meant the world to me.

My Goals:
I love pictures, in fact i took over 6000 last year. This year I vow to loose one pound for every pound of photos that i take. that is of couse assuming that my estimate of 100 photos = 1lb is even close to accurate.

My Program:
this time I am trying to eat healthier. I have grown quite fond of my fruits and veggies. but i have cut out all refined sugars, and caffeine. I must say that i am missing my morning energy drink, those things are down right addictive, Also controlling portion sizes fats and starches. plus forcing myself to exercise as much as i can fit in, which isnt nearly as much as it needs to be. more to work on!

Personal Information:
I think admitting my age, weight and obvious addiction to food and caffeine is personal enough. But if I'm wrong feel free to correct me.

Other Information:
My husband is absolutely wonderful, he is very supportive. He has never said one bad thing about my weight problem, NEVER, but I feel so guilty being the fat wife. Especially knowing how hard he worked to loose so much weight all those years ago. He has done such a brilliant job keeping it off. while he is supportive in subtle ways, (like the fruit basket instead of chocolates, or learning to skate because i loved it once upon a time) I really need some one to hold me accountable, to push me and some times to drag me to my goal. Some one who isnt afraid to be mean to me when i need it. Some one like my coach in high school, who wasnt above yelling screaming or threatning us with some hideous punishment if we failed.

I saw a recent post of yours (what you've realized since starting SP) and just wanted to say hi and encourage you to stick with all SP has to offer. I'm 47 and my starting weight was 232 - my youngest just turned 13 so it was about time to lose the baby weight LOL! I never believed it would happen and since Jan 24 I've lost 30 lbs. It can be done!!! Good luck on your weight loss journey!
