I am a Texas teacher who has tried many diets, succeeded at taking off weight, but not too great at maintaining it. That is all changing now, because I am well on my way to a better me FOR LIFE!

I have decided that I deserve better than what I was doing. This may not be as much fun at the moment, but it is more fun and rewarding in the long run. I derserve to look in the mirror and love who I see. My daughter deserves a mom she can be proud of and my husband deserves a wife that looks young and hip, not old and haggard. I am here for the long haul. I need the accountability of reporting what I am doing to somebody, even if it's just me. That keeps me on track. I love a list I can check off things. So, there you have it. This is all about me getting healthy from now on, and in the process helping my family get there too.

Fitness Minutes: 818

My Goals:
I plan to lose 27 lbs, so that I can be healthy and wear the clothes currently in my closet.

8/10/07 - I have lost 14 lbs. I want to lose 3 more by August 20, when my students arrive at school.

11/1/07-I have lost 19 lbs. I had to buy new jeans and they were 8 Petites! That's down from size 12.

My Program:
I am drinking 8 -10 glasses of water/day and exercising 6 days/week, while watching those calories being taken in and burned off. I am keeping my calories between 1200-1450.

I have recently cut out sodas, coffee and anything white (sugar, rice, bread). I go for the brown versions of those.

Personal Information:
I teach 3rd grade in Texas. I have hair that changes color and style on a fairly frequent basis. I have been married for 23 years and have one beautuful daughter who is a college student at Oral Roberts Universtiy. My husband is not so bad to look at either and he keeps me on my toes. He is hilarious too!
