Life is a continuous journey. Some roads are flat and straight, other and full bumps and turns. Right now, my journey is kind of bumpy but I am up for it. My weight journey has zig zagged quite a bit in the past ten years. I have gotten to a point in my journey, that I have to take care of a few things before I lose control of it all. My weight is one of those things. I am very happy to join other spark people in the quest to look and feel better.

Fitness Minutes: 201,720

My Goals:
Weight lost goals- 45 to 50 pounds to lose

202- 4/14/18
192 - 5/14/18

182- 6/14/18
172- 7/14/18

162- 8/14/18

Walk 10,000 steps daily.

Do strength exercises three times per week

Watch calorie intake and alcohol consumption- 1500-1750 calories

Do a race/walk monthly starting in April to November 2018.





My Program:
Watch alcohol intake

Eat 5 servings of vegetables daily

Exercise5 days per week- cardio (3days), stretch and strength twice a week.

Practice yoga at least 2 day per week.



Personal Information:
I am ageless. Never married (although I have a partner), no children. I am Puerto Rican. I moved to USA in 1985. Spanish is my first language and I do better with it than with English. I am a happy, easy going person, who like the outdoors. I did not like to eat when I was growing up, that why I was very skinny. I started gaining weigh in my college years That's when I started liking food, also. I believe that women should have curves, that why I'll be happy if I get to 170. I do not want to be a fashion model (not at my age).


Other Information:
I love fiction and one of my favorite writers is the Puerto Rican Ana Lydia Vega. Literature is one of my passion. I also like dancing and going to the movies. I love the outdoors and I prefer to exercise outside.

    Hi, I'm replying to your question on my before/after pics. I did a Body-for-Life challenge. It's an old challenge that's been around probably 10 years. I had success with it in 2011 when I got down to the 160s so I thought I'd give what has worked in the past a try. I already had the BFL book and the Eating for Life cookbook (which I really didn't follow this time, but did in 2011).

    This time though, I found the BFL Success Journal (used but not written in) on amazon. Someone on the feed here at SP said they used a guided journal, so looking for that on amazon I found the Success Journal. That book was a great help. Now it is all used up and I miss it!

    Best wishes to you on your journey. You can definitely reach your goals. You just have to write down what they are and what you need to do to get there. (learned that in that Success Journal emoticon )
