I have copd and have a terrible time losing weight.. I belong to a clown group at my church and it is becoming really difficult to clown when you can't breathe and a lot of it has to do with your weight... I have been on total oxygen for one year now 24/7 and it has taken awhile to get use to. So far I have not let it slow me down any.
I am active in my church and have a kids mission group called children in action or cia's. i love this group and we really have a lot of fun together and learn also.
2009 is going to be my year and I am looking forward to it being great. I wish you all well on your journey to become the person you want to be..hugs, Bonnie

My Goals:
This year I am working on getting the junk out that I no longer need, use, or want. I think if I do that then I will be better able to find the things I do use and will be so busy that I do not have time to graze my way through life.

My Program:
I absolutely hate to cook for one, but am working on doing more cooking at home and less eating out..
I received a Wii for Christmas and plan to work with it at least 15 minutes every day.. right now thats about all I can do and thats kicking my butt.. LOL Hopefully that will improve.
I also want to get active with my crafty too as I have not done any for awhile. My goal is to make a banner for our church as I love them and we do not have any.

Personal Information:
My name is Bonnie and I live around the Cincinnati area..(Clermont County) I have copd, arthritis, and my 7 yr. old granddaughter says I am almost as old as Moses. Whats worse is that some days I feel like it too...

Other Information:
love to read, paint ceramics, do crafts of all kinds.. have gotten really active in church and teach a bible study on Bad Girls of the Bible.. and of course our clown troupe.. love it..
I also teach kids the CIA's (children in Action) and we do a lot and have a lot of fun..

Our clown troupe is Gods Gifted Gigglers...don't know how gifted we are but we sure do giggle a lot..

Hi Bonnie, Welcome to 60+50+ and welcome to SP. Have you been a member long? I'm on the 60+50+ team too.

A sparkfriend of mine on another team with me (YOUR LAST DIET), also has this problem. She was just diagnosed with it.

Good luck on your weight loss and come visit my sparkpage if you have the time. I love your colors on your sparkpage.

Hi Bonnie, Welcome to the Asthma/COPD group. If you haven't already, come on over and introduce yourself to the team. I also have COPD but have been doing real well with my inhailers. I think losing weight will also help. I also wear a pedometer daily and try to add to my steps each day. Good luck on your journey to better health.
