Weight issues have been part of my life since I was little. It was hard to be a curvy teen when Twiggy was the model of the day! I always seem to find my favorite clothing stops one size below whatever I am able to wear.

SO...I am working on myself...my bad habits need to become good ones. My blood sugars need to be back under control.

Update 2011 ~ My scale is not showing progress, and it is not the fault of the scale. Today I will reset my tracker. I AM healthier and more knowledgeable than I was when I started. I MUST recommit though if I am going to achieve my goals. So, FRESH START today.

Update, September 13, 2015. As of this morning, the first day after a 12 day vacation, I have lost 3 more pounds and surpassed my original goal. What a shock to realize that. I have reset my goal for another ten pounds. I am not in a hurry, but am pleased with my progress.

Update November 11, 2017
I am walking at least a minimum of 12000 steps a day including 10 flights of stairs. I am astonished to find myself bouncing around at and just below the goal set for me by Weight Watchers around 1973! Got there but couldn't stay there. NEVER expected to see those numbers again! Other than my problematic blood sugars, I am in excellent health, staying active EVERY day and am one HAPPY girl!

2) fit clothing better..lower dress size and perhaps, fit my 40 yr old wedding gown! [2017 update} Dress is now way too big. I never did get to even try it on when weight was close...sailed right by.]

3) Feel good, like how I look

1. Take it one day at a time
2. Do the absolute best I can
3. Don't be afraid to ask for help.

    Good morning Asta,

    Your comment about your bathroom scale made me laugh first thing in the morning. I was reading madiddles comment about her Fitbit being waterproof. Haven't you washed yours a couple of times? Is is waterproof? I have a Garmin and mine is. I never use mine anymore though.

    Asta: Re: to Fitbit One and swimming. I put the device into 2 little plastic bags and then in a waterproof container. It worked quite well. Most the time it gave me a good step count, but it never gave me any minutes, so I manually had to record my aerobic time. My water aerobic time never showed up on the graph as green either, no matter how hard I jumped and jiggled around.
    The Flex 2 is suppose to be water proof, not going to take any chances, I am still using the water proof container. The Flex 2 today in the water gave me good step count, my 100 min in the pool and good green time on the graph indicating aerobic time.
    I am still testing this gadget. What I need is an ankle band for it. That's a better place for me to wear it than on my wrist.

    Hi Asta,

    Yes it is for real....haha! I had gained 30 lbs of the 67 I lost like 5 years ago and I finally decided to buckle down and try to get it off. So far so good. I would like to lose about 17 more. We shall see how that goes.

    Dear Asta. Thank you for the response on my Spark Page. I do the turmeric too. I just heard about the black pepper making it more effective, but not sure how much to add. I don't like the taste of turmeric so I add cinnamon, stevia, hot chocolate, almond milk to a 16 oz cup of black coffee every morning. I call it my coffee cocktail. It does seem to help. I also was just introduced to the cbd Hemp oil this past month. I take that b4 bedtime. I seem to sleep better. I still do the Nerve Fix as well. I am not entirely without pain, but it sure is a lot better than it was in the past.

    I am about to head to the pool. I have been watching a movie, drinking coffee cocktail, talking to the bird all while wogging and getting some steps in. My DD is suppose to take me grocery shopping later and to look for some over sized pillows to put on the new day bed.

    I did decide to do a second planting this season. I am half way thru that chore and hope I can finish this week end. It will keep me busy thru June. Take care. Ma

    Thanks for getting back with me. I had some problems with my some not being able to see my friend feed and they are my friends on here so I couldn't figure why some could see it and others couldn't. It seems to be fixed now.
