"Any idiot can face a crisis. It's the day to day living that wears you out!"

Fitness Minutes: 0

My Goals:
I have quite a lot of weight to lose, so need to think long term. I have lost weight fast before and seen it come back on again so this time round the plan has to be one I can live with. I'm not going to diet like crazy for a few months and then go back to my old ways.

My Program:
Just starting my 3rd week on SP and now I need to think about gretting fitter, so each day I will try to:

- Walk for 15 minutes

- Get 8 hours of sleep (not so easy as I usually wake after 6 or 7 hrs)

- Do stretches for 10 mins

- Use the stairs instead of the lift when I'm at work

- Skip a TV show and do something else instead

- Do push-ups or sit-ups for one minute (as many as I can)

Personal Information:
I live in Surrey, England, though my partner is from Inverness, and we visit his family in Linlithgow whenever we can.

I joined Spark People on July 28th and I love the message boards, the articles and all the motivational stuff. Anything that can help me lose the weight that is making me so unhappy is worth looking at.

After just a few days here, I feel more hopeful . This could be the point where I forget about trying quick fixes and look at the long term.

Other Information:
Favourite quotes seen on SP to date:

"Any idiot can face a crisis - - it's this day-to-day living that wears you out. ".

"You heard about the Pasta diet?

You walka pasta da cafe

Love the pasta diet on your other information -- I'm originally from the Pacific Northwest in the US, married a Londoner, and now I'm in the East Midlands / Derbyshire because I work for an online bank here. Now I've been here 5 years and am the heaviest I have ever been -- but with help of SparkFriends, I know we'll make it this time. -Michelle G

We’re so glad you joined the SP Community Team. It looks like you are well on your way to meeting your goals, congratulations. Being a CT Leader you will find that the weekly requirements to maintain this status will keep you active on the site and by working with new members to SP you will gain personal motivation. Good luck in your endeavors.

Best of wishes from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
