Cantata's Musical Journey
"Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."
The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy." -- Psalm126:2-3
There are three things which keep us going -- the power of Prayer, the power of laughter, and the power of love. We have abundant stores of each of these, and are immensely grateful for God's never-ceasing grace and blessings.

I have coped with serious illness for many years. In addition to asthma, fibromyalgia, Crohn's Disease, and spinal stenosis,(to name just the top few!) I have a very rare liver disease called Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis. There is no cure. The only treatment is transplant, which is not an option in my case. This disease destroys all the bile ducts, which then leads to cirrhosis, which leads to complete liver failure which leads to death. There are many complications along the way, but in the midst of it all we have peace ..... wonderful, all-enfolding peace from a most loving and mighty God.
Despite this huge obstacle, there is still much in life to enjoy. We (my hubby and I have been married 37 years) are quite happy and content. Life is good!!!!

My Goals:
To make it through another year! At that time, I'll re-evaluate and set new goals. For now, I'll just enjoy life and all the blessings it brings, and pass those blessings along to others.
My Program:
Walking 10 minutes each day.
Playing piano 15 minutes per day.
Cooking dinner again!!
Improving diet.
Work on gentle stretching exercises at least 3 days per week.
Personal Information:
Carolyn in South Carolina. Age 57; married for 37 years; no kids; 1 Maine Coon Cat (age 10) named BiddeFur and 1 very feisty rascal of a new kitten (born Feb. 21, 2013) named HazelNut (our wild child who turned out to be a Bengal mix).
Other Information:
I have several very serious health conditions which are life threatening. Having already made it beyond what the drs. estimated, I'm quite happy to be alive. By the grace of God, I have absolute peace about my situation. The one thing which would save my life would be a liver transplant, but I'm too high risk and so have put much of my limited time and strength into educating people about organ donation. More than 91,000 men, women, and children are currently awaiting organ transplants. Every 12 minutes a new name is added to the list. Every single day about 18 people DIE because there aren't enough organs available. Please consider becoming an organ donor. Need more info or have questions? Ask me! I'll be happy to discuss it with you.

Carolyn, how's your summer going? You are fairly near the path across the U.S. which gets a total eclipse in August 21st! Will you be donning special glasses to observe it? Let's hope for clear skies that day.
