Hi Bob, thanks for stopping by my page. Yes, they did have to boil water in MO, but I live in IL, so it didn't affect me. Thank goodness!
Hope you're doing well and keeping busy with the pup.
    Have a great week!

How wonderful hearing from you today! I so remember splitting wood for the woodstove! Then after I met Ray, he taught me how to use a chainsaw, lol. Of course, being a "helpless woman" - my chainsaw would quit and he'd have to start it for me again and again. Such wonderful memories I have and that one had been forgotten until I saw your page again.

We too have had high temperatures, ours has reached 107 too many times already! But I'll take that over another hurricane any day of the week. Many times I have said a prayer of thanks for electricity and air-conditioning. And indoor plumbing!! Ray grew up using an outhouse during the depression.

I don't know if I ever told you, I lost my Ray last year, it was a year ago this past May. I miss him but was blessed to have him 33 years, half my life, and he was only a few months shy of 97. A true blessing.

It was during the aftermath of hurricane Katrina that we found out the old ladies knew what they were doing when they'd stick their feet in water - it cools down the whole body.

    Huggers dear friend,

Thank you, Bob! It is helpful to be able to moan and groan to someone about what is going on my life and it helps when people understand and don't criticize. SP makes me happy! I don't know why I have been away for so long:)
