I am not going to let the carbmonster control my life anymore!

100 pounds to lose, oh my!

I have never been, nor have I ever wanted to be, a skinny chick.

What I do want to be is:
- DONE with just accepting the way I am and not trying to improve myself
- DONE with letting the carbmonster control the way I eat, the way I feel, and the way I treat myself and others
- DONE with not being the person I want to be and allowing the pounds and all of the emotional baggage that comes with it weigh me down

My Goals:
Hit 200lbs!

My Program:
I choose a diet full of protein & veggies for my body and my metabolism because, as a severe emotional eater and binger, breaking the reigns from sugar, flour, and processed foods have given me back control of what I eat and how I feel! No more crashes after a big meal! No more sugar-induced mood swings! YES to a better food attitude, more energy, and understanding how the food I eat affects my body!

I'm finally eating for health and what makes me feel good!

Personal Information:
I'm 25 and have always been overweight. I remember weighing over 200lbs my freshman year of high school and watched my weight continue to climb as my mom, sister, and I ate to cope with caring for my very ill grandmother. After she died, I continued to abuse food and hit 290's my junior year in college. I lost about 30lbs exercising and eating less, but began using food to cope again to deal with depression and work stress. Now I'm learning to eat to make myself feel better physically instead of mentally. I have lost about 20lbs and gained it back when dealing with another bought of depression, but I am now back on my game :)

Hey. I was reading your posts and I just wanted to come by and offer you some encouragement. I know how hard this is because I'm starting at a little more than 50 pounds more than you, but I've been so inspired by others who have done it.. it's so much hard work but the reward.. is so good. :)

Hi there. I just read your blog and I wanted to come over to your page and offer some support. I have had binges like this many times through the years. I know how they make us feel. But you've taken a very important step - you didn't isolate and sit with this alone. You reached out to others here who understand and have been where you are. Applaud yourself for that.

I don't want to step out of bounds by offering advice but I will share that years ago I went to OA meetings and can't say enough about how that turned things around for me. The support there was incredible. That combined with SP, who knows, that may be what does it for you, too.

I wish you much success. I know it's hard but it's very attainable.
