It is amazing to me how our minds can make some things so hard. We know what we need to do. Exercise, eat right. So why is it so hard sometimes? It's all good when we see visible results on a regular basis. But for me let me hit a plateau and instead of trying to work thru it I want to give up. Discouraged. Disgusted. Defeated. But this time I have to try even harder. My life depends on it. I DO NOT want to have to depend on insulin and I think I can do it. I have to keep reminding myself of that. Yes its hard. Yes its discouraging. But its necessary. This is my fight.

My Goals:
I started Spark in late '08 begining '09. Didn't get serious until 2011. Dr said INSULIN and I said Hell no.


My Program:
Following Spark recommended meal plan for Diabetics. Exercise at least 30 minutes a day. I would love to lose 2 lbs a week. Those plateaus are hell tho.



Personal Information:
I live 30 miles outside of Columbus, Ga. I have 3 daughters, 29, 26, and 19. I have been married for 30 years to a very good man. We are both animal lovers and have 12 acres in the country that is inhabited by (last count) 20+ cats. All spayed or neutered. Our own feral colony. The pic up there is my baby, Dusty.


Other Information:
I love Stephen King and Dean Koontz books but will not watch a horror movie. lol. Am obsessed with the Anita Blake books. Laurell K. Hamilton can't crank em out fast enough to suit me. I love action movies. RED and Crank are 2 of my favs. I crochet in my spare time and love to work in the yard in the spring and summer.
