Goal Weight: 134 (April 14, 2014)

Yes, I am a Christian. Yes, I can be the biggest hypocrite ever. I backslide. I stumble. I fall. I stray onto the wrong path. But God is working in me. I may be a mess, but I’m His mess. And He is slowly straightening me out. And the day will come when I will be by His side, His work in me completed. And until that day I will take His hand, and let Him do in me whatever needs to be done, no matter how painful it will be for me. When He is finished, it will all be worth it.

My Goals:
Weight Loss Goal: My goal is to lose 100lbs keep it off for the rest of my life.

Exercise Goal: Walk 30 minutes every day (at least 1 mile every day)

Spiritual Goal: Read my Bible Daily, Ask people how I can pray for them, Pray fervently, spend time listening to God speak.


My Program:
My Surgeon is out of UCSF Medical Center and follows this plan (http://www.ucsfhealth.org/education/dieta
ry_guidelines_after_gastric_bypass/) So this is the plan I am going to follow!



Personal Information:
I am married to my loving supportive husband, David. We have three daughters, two of whom are in college and our littlest baby is in High School. We live on six acres in the mountains just outside Yosemite National Park in California.


Other Information:
I love to garden and grow crops in both spring and winter in addition to our small orchard.

I love to read -- right now I'm reading Counsel from the Cross by Elyse Fitzpatrick (great book). I love classics, mysteries, and some romance.

I am a huge Food Network and HGTV fan. Love to cook and bake - it's a passion that I am practicing with a flair towards "healthier" eating!!

    Hi Carol,

    You asked a question on my blog about what eating plan I am following. I am full force following the carb cycling plan of Chris Powell's. The guy who does the Extreme Weight Loss show. He and his wife also follow that same plan, it's not a diet, it's a way you can live. I love it, because it allows me to lose quickly, and I do not feel robbed at all! As You can see from my blog, I eat tons of food! And I am on his lowest calorie plan. You can learn about his plan in his books, "7 day Carb Cycling" and "Choose More, Lose More for Life" The second book is the best, but the first one does cover most of the basics.
