Introduction Text I am a nurse in Virginia who has practiced for more than 30 years and am feeling the effects. Joint and back pain. I would like to blame it on my job, but the truth is I am deconditioned, obese and weak. 1/1/2013---OK, New Years, Hmmmm I have never been into the Resolution thing. Just they way it falls I guess. I have been a Sparker for 3 years, lost 30 pounds and have managed to find it again. Bummer...If I don't do something, and soon, I will be disabled. I am 61 and can feel a miserable future around the corner in a few years. Time for me to choose!!! Go back Chris and look in that mirror sideways again...that will motivate you!! SparkPeople is the only place where you can be called a loser and you end up thanking someone!

I want to continue to to work as a nurse until "I" want to retire! I WILL eat 3...I said THREE meals a day, not One! I also will learn to like sweating......I Hope! I will allow my picture to be taken :D

Eat 3 meals a day - Yes three--not ONE! Start a fitness program by replacing 30 minutes of gaming time with activity! WOW, what a concept! Figure out how to do cardio...still a puzzle but not unsolvable. Strengthening 2X a wk-

I have been a critical care nurse for 30+ years and am now a full time educator at my hospital. More sitting than I have ever done!! I'm a mother of three and grandmother of 2. I have great kids! Would like to work until I am 70...not sure if that will happen but I can only try.
