I feel I've been overweight my entire life. But looking back at my younger days, I wish I weighed now what I did then! My weight has gone up and down during my lifetime, but overall the line just goes up. I am nearing the age of 50 and I would really like to lose this weight for once and for all.
Update to 2014: I have now reached the age of 51. I managed to lose 20 pounds back in 2013 but stalled prior to the holidays, and never did get back on track in early 2014 as planned - and subsequently gained back all 20 pounds :( I gave up on working out, even though I know it is the only way I can get the weight off. Trying Spark People again to re-motivate myself to get back on track with losing weight for good!
Update - September 2015 - Although I have been consistently active on SparkPeople for the last year - I have not made any headway in my weight loss journey. I was holding pretty steady as I participated in 3 5% weight loss challenges (Winter, Spring & Summer) but since the last challenge ended I have GAINED and now weigh more than I have in 2 years! :( It makes me so depressed. I am trying out a new team for the Fall 5% Challenge and I hope I can motivate myself to truly work the challenge and WORK OUT so that I can lose the weight.

Walk during my lunch hour 3 days a week. Step Reebok video workout 3 days a week. Focus on healthy eating , low carb for my diabetic husband.
