For the past 7 years I have been in pain. Lower back pain. Thinking it was just being overweight and out of shape, I exercised and used SP to track my food intake.

Turns out, my back was broken, and from an MRI taken 2 years ago, its been broken for at least 2 years.

Four months ago, March 2016, I had spinal fusion. My back feels incredible and as soon as I get the okay, I'm right back to the exercising!

Don't ignore pain, get into a doctor, get a second opinion, but don't assume your pain is from being overweight or lack of exercise.

4 years ago, I ran. I had never run before, but I started the Couch to 5K program on my phone and in 9 weeks I was running 3 miles straight and had lost 35 pounds! In 9 weeks! But when I moved on to the Couch to 10K program I hurt my foot and spent the next 9 months limping around and getting cortisone shots in my arch, but nothing helped. I am 45 with pain, but who isn't in pain :) But it isn't going to change and I'll be worse in the years to come, so I need to work on it.

My Goals:
Consistently workout and eat healthy. Make a plan to work out each day and to meal plan ahead of time so that my eating can be on point.
Run 3 miles in 40 minutes.

My Program:
Couch to 5K, eliminating sugar, increase protein

I am 45, married and have a young child. I also work as a massage therapist specializing in myofascial release.

Other Information:
I love to read and write. I am also obsessed with Minecraft :)
