4ROSEMARY so much for posting a note of encouragement on my blog. It really helps to hear how others deal with tough days. I have a bit of arthritis as well, so I know how difficult that can be. I often rely on watching movies and doing puzzles to take my mind off things, but I should probably try to add some gentle exercise, like yoga or something, as well. Sorry but I must have missed seeing your comment on my Spark Page yesterday. Yes, you're right - the scales are only one way we can measure whether or not we've lost weight. That reminder made me smile, because I was running late for my weekly weigh in at our local TOWN Club and had spilt coffee on the pants I was wearing. I just grabbed a pair of jeans from the wardrobe, put them on and rushed out the door.
It was that evening, when I was taking those jeans off that I realized they were the pair I'd bought about 3 years ago, and they'd been too small a cut for me to be able to even stretch the waistband enough so the button could reach the button hole. (Then again, maybe they were the correct cut for that particular size, and all the other clothes have been of a far more 'generous' cut - in other words, cut one size larger than the label will ultimately say).
Whatever the reason, it was great to know that I'd been comfortable all day wearing those once too-small jeans, so my body shape must have changed at least a little. 2278 days ago
