Car accident in June where I was t-boned by driver going 65 mile per hr..air bags deployed then burst. Now have air-bag lung from the chemicals the burned me. This is a challenge I didn't expect.

love this thought...keep it real

A deer knows it’s a deer. It has no inner conflict about its past, its purpose, its needs, or its destiny. It lives in the moment and is 100% resourceful at all times, minute by minute, its senses completely keen, its focus pure and unburdened.”

January 29, 2016. I'm getting concerned about weight. Can not get marker to move. Blood test are all good. RV did not sale. Septic is in and a wopping car payment for it for 15 years. Yet I will trust the lord in all things:)

Update 18 Sept, 2015. High stress. $40,000 septic issue and RV for sale. Only lookers are wanting it for lowball. Weight is back up. Will see Dr Wood in 12 days.

Update; 4/12/2015 Weight is out of order along with bp. 280.2 Just found out danger supplementing Vid D if Vit D125 is high via Dr. Russo.
Alchol is so big a bummer...must put down to reach 2 month goal. New knee has changed gait. In six months get lengh of legs checked AGAIN...

October 1, 2014. Weight is now 269 which is not my lower 251. Knee is gone and scheduled for surgery to replace. Exercising in chair and bed. Lots of stress in home and around due to ebola, children, sickness. God is good all the time...and He is always good. I will press forward to get as much off as possible before surgery.

Update: 3/17/14 Weight is stalled but I'm good. This is a beautiful walk. I feel healthy and am accomplishing so much now.

Update: 2/26/13 Today I show one lb loss. This is great. Very highBP created stress, saw new endoc but after thinking about it for 10 days decided to stick with one I've been with. Canx appt today. Got a cute haircut with spunk..God is good.

Update: 2/15/13 I am holding 265 lbs strong now. Sure took a good while for body to accept this new weight. Refrigerator went out and we were in different eating pattern but I managed to stay on target. Yes, some excess of carbs happened but all is good.

Update: 12/29/12 It has been stall all Dec. I held a 4 lb loss until yesterday. Read this and am taking it to heart. Sign #5: If you feel self-conscious about your body These feelings may signal something deeper that needs your attention. As you might guess, weight-loss isn't just about choosing to eat right and exercise. Many times, it's also about having the self-worth to make a change and believing that you deserve to do something positive for yourself!

Make yourself a priority: Everyone's journey and circumstances are different. So instead of wondering why you weren't blessed with a faster metabolism focus on what you love about yourself. The next time you become self-conscious, remind yourself that you deserve good things in life, too, so commit to make healthy choices. Weight loss isn't a weakness, a desire to conform, or a sign that you're not awesome just the way you are. Every person is worthy of love, respect and self-careand maintaining a healthy weight is part of that. Losing weight is hard work, but the change begins with you and it starts right now.

Update: 12/9/12. Still lc/mp/hfat..FINALLY today am now 268lbs. Body holds all it can. Next goal is 260 by 1/15/13.

Update: 10/19/12. I'm removing unnecessary obligations from my life. Time to let others keep things going. I have been Low Carb/moderate protein, High Fat for 2 months. Hard to stay in fat adaptive state. Am now 276. My goal for end of October is 275. Seems I stall every 5 lbs..will notice if this happens.. Dr adding a T3 med but have not got it yet.

UPdate; May 27, 2012. 2 lbs to goal of 285 by end of May. Keep the course ..doing low carb.

Update 5-9-12. Weight is 292. Really hard to get success with weight loss. Keep trying and keep eye on goal of 285.

Update 3-15-12. Today thyroid is larger and has cyst. Started new thyroid meds 3 days ago and side effects are going away from use of generic brand. No weight loss yet. Dr. gave me a real shock...I have almost 0 Vit d (and I take 3,000 mg a day).

Update: 2-1-12. Just found out I'm dealing with hypothyroidism. Starting meds. Now eat 50% raw. See doctor and must think this out.

Update 8-2-11 Lost 3 lbs when I took all grain out of food choices. Reading more about insulin resistance.

Update 6-30-11 This is bad..I'm still at 298lbs and why? I honestly do not understand what is going wrong. BUT I am not finished.

Update 5/1/11 Lost the 3 but then lived through tornado. HOLD my own for a week and then keep trucking.

Update 4/27/11 After being robbed I managed to gain 3 lbs instead of losing anything. Prior I was expecting a loss (finally) but good news, I didn't have trash in the house. Result was just 3 lbs backwards.

January 20, 2011---294 lbs. I'm not getting where I want to very fast but I am holding my own loss.

life with childhood arthritis and some challenges (son died, fall from horse) got me down in a wheelchair. Not thinking...I kept eating like a busy woman and I gained. It took 100 lbs before I said what am I doing? After gaining more while trying to lose weight I started evaluating all areas of my life. Exercise and joint replacements have me out of chair (for awhile) but if I lose the weight I will extend that wheelchair ride for a long time.
I live with childhood arthritis (it isn't that simple). Fount out Jan 2012 that I'm hypothyroid and Insulin Resistant challenged.

Hi new friend! Yes, Aldo became a champion in Sept. I guess I should update that! I was diagnosed in Aug. 2008. My initial A1C was 8.1 and after 3 months of very strict diet with some pretty dedicated walking, I brought it down to 4.9, which was pretty amazing. Since that time I've struggled off and on. The doctor would threaten and then I'd get serious again. The highest my A1C ws again was 7.1, but that's unaaceptable to my endocrinologist b/c there are so many side effects to lack of control over time. I haven't had any serious issues, but I definitely suffered health wise and last May I decided, that's it. This is a progressive disease and I can't take care of it sometimes. In July, my A1c was 6.8 and in Nov. it was 5.9. At one point, my fasting blood sugar was running 180-220 in the morning. Not cool. Just took it and it was 89! I take the Metformin 500mg Extended Release. The ER were easier on my tummy. I used to take 3 and now take 2. I also used to give myself an injection in the abdomen twice a day of Byetta. I stopped using Byetta last summer.

My advice to you is to take care of it to the best of your ability. Read (because knowledge is power). I've read and my doctor confirmed if your A1C was between 6 and 7 and not past 7, you have pre-diabetes. Once it's over 7 she said you are a diabetic. That doesn't mean you can't control it, it just means you'll always have to watch the carbs. Years ago they told people to not eat sugar, but since carbs convert quickly to sugar, it's really more effective to limit carbs. And there are "good" carbs and "bad" carbs--foods that metabolize more slowly.

Okay, I'm writing a bok here... LOL
