Introduction Text Losing weight certainly isn't an easy task. It takes time, determination and a lot of morale and emotional support from family and friends. The venture to lose weight is one that shouldn't be tackled alone. It should be a process in which you can enjoy, experience, and tackle obstacles together with a person with similar weight issues. I am ready to take the necessary steps to become healthier, happier and a whole lot lighter. Sparkpeople, seems to be the online haven I am looking for to reach my goals and build friendships along the way. So, what are we waiting for? Let's get started!!

I want to get back where I was nearly 18 years ago (Wow, has it really been that long?); healthier, more energetic and a lot lighter. This will require me to lose 122bs, and I hope to do it within the next year and a half.

I am finally taking the time to address the issue of my weight problem AGAIN, after having so many stomach issues (GERD), and the advice from my doctor. I am also being treated for hypothyroidism and anxiety, which was found right after my pregnancy in 2008. Not to mention the most important incentive (to be around for my family and children). I am going to restrict my calorie intake and move into a sensible eating style, incorporate exercise into my daily routine and begin to feel more happy about who I am.

My name is Tina. I am 34 years old and I live in Wisconsin with my husband of 9 years, our 16-year old daughter and our 4 yr. old son. I am currently a stay at home mom and babysit my niece full-time, as well. I have always seemed to have a weight issue growing up. However, in high school I got down to my lowest weight of all, 120lbs. and I felt GREAT both physically and emotionally. Shortly after losing that weight I became pregnant with my daughter and gained nearly 80 pounds. Since then it has been a struggle to lose that weight and in the meantime I have gained even more. I am at the road in my life that I want to be that vibrant, energetic, "spunky" girl I use to be.
