It's now January 2018 and I'm not where I want to be but I am here..... I was able to keep the lbs off for 5 years then in 2015 I let work take center stage and I put on 30lbs. Then last year I had a benign brain tumor that was removed just this past August 2017. The recovery time put the last 30lbs that I took off in 2010 back on.

But here I am still.

It's now 2018:
- I'm exercising every day, at least 30 minutes 'cause that's how I do life.
-Work is not my priority -- but work, life, exercise balance
- I'm tracking my food
And I'm being kind to myself

In October 2010 I made the decision to get healthy. I was able to join Kaiser Permanente's Weightloss Management Program, that allowed me to use shakes, soups and bars to take the stress out of choices for eating. And Kaiser isn't even my healthcare provider (LOL) Blue Cross is and they took me in the program (amen).

At the same time, it helped cure me of food addictions (scones & other sweets) as well as food I'm allergic to that is bad for my health (wheat, corn, milk, gluten, etc).

I'm now eating 'regular' food and am quite successful thanks to the support and tools found on SparkPeople. I tell everyone about this site.

SparkPeople has helped me track my progress and all the posts, blogs, articles have provided such great motivation. Thank you to everyone that contributes to this site and my success. I was/am lucky I had the Kaiser Program as my jumpstart but major kudos to all of you that just made the mindset I'm doing it. You are all an inspiration to me.

- I walk between 2-5 miles each day with my two rescue dogs (Sari & Momo)



Personal Information:
I have found there are no magic bullets. It takes daily movement (exercise) and conscious choices as to the food to eat and drink.

I'm all about slow, easy progress. While the number stays the same, the body composition shows another story. Lean muscle has replaced the fat -- so don't let the number rule you.
