    I read a sad comment by you about your lack of confidence and my heart went out to you. Getting your confidence back will take time and also you'll have ups and downs. But just like any skill, the more you practice the skill, the evenuality is that you will be semi skilled and eventually pretty darn good at what you do. Now, weight aside, esp emotional eating, start with other things that you are good at and work your way up from there. May I suggest that you go over to the General Team Discussion Forum and check out the Topic....10 Things I Love About Me. Maybe you could start with listing 10 things you love about yourself. When you read the other peoples lists, you'll notice just how many of their items are yours too.

    I’ve belonged to a lot of teams here on spark-- i really do believe that the Emotional Eaters team is one of the very best, it’s a great group of people- very supportive and encouraging-- and it is very refreshing to talk with people who "get" what you're going through!!

    Check out the main page of the EE team- there are “stickied” topics you may be interested in to get involved- a buddy thread, a place to introduce yourself, weigh-in challenge, a birthday post.

    Spark has a lot of great tools, and you will learn which ones work best for you. The best tools are the people tho, always willing to lend a hand, an ear, or a shoulder. I’ve been here for over a year now, and I still am overwhelmed, every day, by the kindness and goodness of others on this team!! That has made a world of difference for me. I hope you have the same success!

    I'm so very glad that you've joined the Emotional Eaters Team. The team is a place where you can vent. And where you will receive some awesome support. Of course, I am biased ... it's a great team! I hope you find exactly what you are looking for! Welcome to the team!

    Be sure to ask questions if you have them ... someone will likely have the answer. If you haven't started using the tools SparkPeople provides, do! They are invaluable. Track your food, track your exercise ... it will make you see what you are actually doing and see where changes are needed or where you can pat yourself on the back. If you feel an emotional eating attack coming on, come to the boards first. Write about it instead of pushing the feelings away with food. We're here for you!
