Hullo All,

I'm aiming to wear a backless dress for my 30th birthday. Being super healthy would be nice too...

About five years ago I managed to shift five stone after a bad break-up; I can’t remember if I just cried the pounds away, suddenly went off chocolate (!) or woke up thin (which is how it feels looking back), though I suspect it may have been something to do with the daily nine mile walks where I’d take myself off to the countryside and rant at trees – ranting punctuated with some very dramatic arm gestures and not a little red-faced shouting.

Sadly the last two years have all been about putting it back on , slowly at first and then with a “oh what the hell, I’m fat so I might as well order a takeaway, one with a giant portion of chips that could safely feed a family of five” attitude. Now I’m … well, I’ll be honest I’m huge at the moment; I’ve only just started to try shed the blubber, but I’m exercising daily, eating right and at a point where I look at the flab and feel quietly expectant that it’s going to shift rather than driven to cakes because I look like I’ve eaten a duvet then gone back for seconds.

Anyway, I donned an all black tracksuit and decided it was a secret ninja identity; started running, shredding and having a go at just about anything, and the rest is history.
