I have lost and regained weight so many times I don't like to even think about it. Two years ago I dieted seriously and had WLS and managed to get down to 165. That wasn't my goal weight, but close. Over the past year or so, I have had medical conditions that make it very hard to exercise, and the pain and medical issues drove me to eat for comfort. Suddenly I realized that my weight was increasing quickly - over the past winter I have put on 40 pounds! So I am back at it. This site is a great one, I have never experienced so much motivation and encouragement. The tracking system is great and so are the many other components of the program. I am so thankful this is a free site - we are gettng a real deal!

I am on medical disability, but do as much as I can volunteering at my church plant - we are just two years old and it is an exciting time of growth and development!

I quilt for my primary hobby, especially in the winter. In the Spring, Summer and Fall I love to garden and work on my yard. I have to do it in 15 - 20 minute stretches and then rest. But I do enjoy being outside. I live on a lake so that is a real treat.

My Goals:
My goal is to loose 40 pounds by August 21, 2006 (my 51 birthday).

My Program:
My goal is to permanently change over to a healthy life style and not do yet another diet. I had WLS 3 years ago, and must follow my docs guidelines - I need to eat protien first and lots of it and keep all carbs to a bare minimum. Still this program helps keep me on track! I love the way it analyzes your intake for the day!

Quilting is my primary hobby, since I have had to go on a full time medical disability two years ago. I so a lot of volunteer work for my church. My church just started up 2 years ago, we are a new church plant with the BGC. I love serving the Lord full-time... well as much as I can, given my medical issues. Both are great outlets, stress reducers and very personally fulfilling. I am single, and 50 years old. Before going on medical leave, I was a psychologist. I have lived in many areas of the country, Washington, Oregon, Tennessee and Arizona. I have now returned to my home town, and live in my parents cabin on a lake in the Brainerd lakes area of Minnesota. God has truly blessed me with a beautiful place to live and wonderful friends in my church and small group Bible study. My primary medical issues, if anyone cares to know are: Primary Biliary Chirrhosis, Celiac's Disease, Fibromyalgia, Reactive Hypoglycemia,and Migraines.

    Did you quit? I hope not. I do hope you are signing in every single day and working toward that goal that I know you really want. I know you can lose that 40# you gained back.

    He wrote "SHRINK YOURSELF" and is a medical doctor, professor of psychology at UCLA Medical School. The book is about EMOTIONAL EATING. The YouTube interview is him talking about the book and how he helped 20,000 patients stop Emotional Eating, so they could successfully lose weight and NOT gain it back again.
