My name says it all: I have to get FIT to be THIN! I pledge to add more FIT to my. Life is a journey. And I embrace all it has to offer.

I have joined the 2020 Spring 5% Challenge. I pledge the following:

๐Ÿ”…I will lose 5% of my weight by May 30

๐Ÿ”…I will exercise 20 minutes for at least 5 days of the week. Those exercises will be: walking and strength training.

๐Ÿ”…I will get 10,000 steps/day

๐Ÿ”…I will track my food intake, as well as my exercise.

๐Ÿ”…I will eat 5 servings of freggies daily. There is no specific โ€œdietโ€ that I am following. I am counting calories, making wise choices, and staying accountable to myself.

I use my phoneโ€™s Samsung Health app to keep me accountable. I also use my smart watch to track my steps.

My overall goal is to lose 84 pounds. Iโ€™ve lost 25 lbs thus far (since Nov). For the challenge, I need to lose 11.5 lbs...yikes!

My Program:
Track nutrition DAILY

Exercise 5 out of 7 days

Drink 8 or more glasses of water DAILY

Eat 4-5 fruits/veggies DAILY

Say something positive to myself DAILY

What I learned this week from Diane Sawyer and the ABC Evening News this week, on successful losers:
1. No cheating
2. Weigh yourself
3. Exercise 1 hour/day



Personal Information:
I'm a retired nurse, mother of 4 grown children and a wife of almost 40 years. I have three fur babies, all from rescue groups. I enjoy singing and am a member of two different choral groups.
