Back on SP. Mom of 3 young children. Trying to find the balance of caring for others, accomplishing my goals, and still managing to take care of my health. Back on SP. Mom of 3 young children. Trying to find the balance of caring for others, accomplishing my goals, and still managing to take care of my health. I deal with multiple health issues, mostly genetic disorders, that cause pain and inflammation. Looking to pair up with others in similar situations for support, guidance, motivation, accountability, etc. So feel free to add me, send me a message, etc. I've had weight issues for most of my life. I have PCOS, insulin resistance/type 2, and arthritis. I've found out about a handful or so of genetic disorders I have, but its still new and I'm still learning about them, so I'll skip over that for now, but if you're familiar then please add me as a friend. I also have a rather long list of back problems, the main ones being- arthritis (in spine/neck/shoulders and throughout my body), scoliosis, bone spurs, cervical kyphosis due to a car accident, spondylolisthesis (slipped discs), cervical radiculopathy (nerve damage), etc. I've had back pain since I was 10, but it got much worse after a car accident in 2004, and then worse during and after each pregnancy. I live in constant pain due to arthritis and back injuries, which is my greatest motivation to lose weight; to help relieve some of the stress on my joints. The pain is also the reason I gained weight in the first place though, because I was in so much pain that I slowly became less and less active. It's a vicious cycle though because as my weight went up, so did the pain. So I've decided to stop and turn this around before things get any worse. To help keep myself accountable, sharing my weigh in schedule I planned- Starting weigh in: 7/11/2017: 212.6 lbs 1st weigh in: 7/21/2017: 206.4 lbs (-6.2 lbs) baby steps have the scale moving in the right direction at this point. Working to keep up the good habits. 2nd weigh in: 7/28/2017: 206.2 lbs. (-0.2 pounds) I'll take it! Very busy week gearing up for the school year this week, among other things, so maintaining the weight loss is better than gaining! 3rd weigh in: 8/4/2017: road trip... managed to maintain. 4th: 8/11/2017: second week of road trip... managed to maintain. 5th: 8/18/2017: 206.2 pounds... continued maintenance streak even after returning from trip. 6th: 8/25/2017: 204.8 pounds. Slow and steady. 7th: 3/17/2018: 204.2 pounds. Long story short, still having a flair up that started over a year ago and caused the 40+ pound weight gain. So I consider maintaining weight a win at this point.
