I am 49 and recently divorced. I have been working on becoming healthier since May of 2010. So far I have lost 80 lbs. I just joined Spark People and I am looking to make friends, share ideas, learn from others and be a part of an enviroment that is mutually encouraging.

My Goals:
I want to become healthy and fit by my 50th birthday. I also want to complete the course to receive my personal trainer's certification.

My Program:
 EXERCISE, portion control,developing excellent self-care habits, reaching out to others to learn and to share ideas. :)


Personal Information:
In the last 10 months I have lost both my marriage and my job. Those things could have been completely devasting to me but during this time I have culivated a personal relationship with God and it by His grace that I have already lost a significant amount of weight. I want to encourage others to give God an open door to work in their lives.

    Hi, I saw your post on the Caregiver Children page. Seems we have a lot in common. I am the caregiver for my 84 year old mother. I have have basically moved in with her but at the same time I'm trying to keep my family running.
