Introduction Text I am a healthy 71 yr. old woman who keeps trying to improve herself and finding sparkpeople.com has been a Godsend. I live in Northern Canada by a wonderful lake which I can see as soon as I step out the door or anywhere I walk in town. Used to always spend half the yr. in Baja but DH has had a lot of health problems so I insist we stay home till he is much better. I love to read and serve my Creator. My husband is a second marriage and he is a good father to the 7 children and 10 grandchildren we have. I do well getting exercise and love healthy food. Where I fall down is on sweets but this site has made me more mindful of what I eat.

I would like to get control over what I do in my life. I want to have the time to create a healthy lifestyle no matter where I am, at home, visiting or enjoying a few hrs. of social time with or without friends.

I will schedule a portion of my time to planning my food and exercise, doing the exercise and preparing the food while leaving enough time for optional things. This will take a lot of pre preparing while in Canada as we live far from the grocery store.

I am recouperating from some devastating illnesses but my spirit is still in good shape. No need to lose any more weight. I only weigh 103 lbs and even though I am only 4'11" I don't need to lose more weight. My sister by mistake removed me from Spark for a while but I find I miss the love. I am here till I expire or get brain fog.(which ever comes first).I am almost 71 now.. Oh, my goodness!!I I have been gone for 2 yrs. I will get someone to take my picture and then post it. I was so sick I thought I would never post on Spark again. I thought I would have to learn to play a harp and memorize lovely songs to sing along with the harp music. On Mar. 5/2016 while walking the dogs I slipped on ice and fell flat on my back. My favorite books are A Tale of Two Cities and The trilogy Lord of the Rings. Mostly I love my Faith and will do anything to further it. Being a Bahai is the best thing to ever happen to me and I have such great expectations of humanity. While all the old guard is slowly disintegrating a new world is rising and it will be so much better. To me Spark is part of the new system which is all about truth and reality.
