My name is Lauren, I'm 22, and live in Dallas Texas. My mother-in-law showed me the site and I absolutely fell in love with it! I know SparkPeople will really help me loose the weight I've been needing to since I was 10 years old! I'm big and beautiful, but now it's time to be happy with myself and beautiful!

I'm ready to feel as beautiful outside as I do inside!!!

The Reasons I want to loose weight:
I'll look better and more attractive
i'll have more confidence
i'll be able to wear a smaller size
i'll be able to buy fancy new underwear
i'll feel happier when i look in the mirror
i'll enjoy trying on clothes
i'll feel better in a bathing suit
i'll get more compliments
i'll feel better physically
i'll have more stamina
i'll have more energy
i'll feel more optimistic
i'll make a better impression on people
i'll be able to keep up with my daughter
i'll be less inhibited about my body
i'll enjoy physical intimacy more
i'll like myself better
i'll do more things in public specifically swimming
i'll be more comfortable eating in front of others
i'll feel more comfortable being around my mom, sister, and friends

My sabotaging thoughts:
It's okay to eat this... I'll just work out extra hard tonight
If I weigh myself in the middle of the week and see I've lost more that the 2 pounds I can go a little crazy the rest of the week
It's just vegetables so I can eat as much as I want
I can do it later
I have so many calories left it's okay if I splurge

Changes in thinking:
I can't have a splurge day
fast food is okay just plan it in (don't eat it on the fly)
don't finish dinner than adding more calories
plan all my calories for the day
all the workouts matter
add oil and butter to plan
decide what to eat before going out

I have wonderful news! Although I've lost an awesome 40 pounds it looks like we're expecting our second baby!!! Yup I'm pregnant again! I will still be doing my nutrition tracker on sparkpeople but I'm not going to try and loose weight for now! I'm going to have about 1500 calories and do my prenatal yoga Monday, Wednesday, and Friday!!! We're so excited!!!

My Goals:
I just got my Surrender chip for overeating! 3-16-10

Short Term goals:
1) Someone ask "have you lost weight" by the end of April 2010
2) Need to upgrade to heavier weights by the end of May 2010
3) To not be able to fit into a pair of my jeans by June 2010
4) Feel a little more comfortable in a pair of shorts by July 2010
5) Blow someone away at Jason's birthday party by August 2010
6) Invite my husband's best friend's sister to our daughters 1st birthday and blow her away by September 2010
7) Finally feel comfortable in my halloween costume by October 2010
8) Completely blow away my whole family on Thanksgiving by November 2010
9) Completely blow away anyone I didn't see on Thanksgiving on Christmas by December 2010

Long Term goals:
1) Be able to wear a bikini by June 2011
2) Stand next to my husband's best friend's sister without feeling self concious
3) loose 100 pounds
4) wear a size 14 pants and M shirt

My Program:
When my husband and I go a whole week without getting fast food we buy a steak for each of us on Sunday. Plus every 10 pounds lost I give myself a framed certificate!

I plan to moderate my diet and do cardio mon, wed, and fri, plus strength training sun, tue, and thurs.

Personal Information:
I love to draw and paint... I plan to be an Art Teacher when I graduate college... and I'm married to the man of my dreams and we had our first baby in September 2009. Our little angel Katrina Marrie.

Other Information:
I look forward to making a lot of friends and finding inspiration to finally loose the weight I've been holding for over 10 years!

I need to loose 8 pounds a month to make my weight loss goals!!!

Month 1 - 16 pound loss (280 to 264)
Month 2 - 10 pound loss (264 to 254)
Month 3 - 4 pound loss (254 to 250)
