This Years Goals:

Hi, my name is Amanda. This year I have decided to try something new. Instead of making new years resolutions, I'm simply making goals for the year. One of my goals is to live a healthier life and take better care of myself. I have struggled to maintian a steady weight for most of my adult life. And while I am happy with my body, I know I need to make a stronger commitment to being active and eating a balanced diet. I feel out of shape and I know I can do better. Last year was one of the hardest years of my life and this year is about working to make me, my family, and my life healthier. It's time start practicing what I preach and what I know is the right thing to do.

So Far:

We are almost half way through the year and I find myself rejoining Spark People. I was gone all of April because I was starting my own business! I'm very excited about it. Now that things have settled down a bit, I'm ready to start tracking my goals again. I am proud to say, I have continued exercising despite being busy!

Fitness Minutes: 7,667

My Goals:
To loose 5-7 lbs each month. Total weight lose of 40 lbs. To gain muscle and stamina.

My Program:
I am using the nutrition tracker on Sparks to make out balanced meal plans for the week. Making out meal plans is the best way I have found to stay in a healthy eating routine. When life gets hectic, it helps me avoid poor food choices. I am focusing on eating mostly whole foods and working towards a diet free of processed food. I am also focusing on cardio and toning on my workouts and I have made and I have made a commitment to practicing yoga for 10 minutes, 5 days a week.
