MY COMMITMENT
My name is Jennifer and I am an environmental geologist who lives in Houston, Texas. I am happily married to my hunny, love my three dogs and my job and life is good.
I have been an SP member since January 2, 2007. I originally committed in order to lose weight and get in better shape for my wedding. I lost about 55 pounds, but since the wedding (October 19, 2007) I have gained some back. With the help and support of SP, I have never come close to my all time high again.

I am an incredibly outdoorsy person who has recently taken up diving as a hobby with my hubby (the best dive buddy a person could ask for). No, not a hobby...more like a second life! What a wonderfully addictive sport!
I have faults and I falter, but I will never lose sight of my dedication to live a healthier life. Activity is something I incorporate into my daily routine. I love it...LIVE for it. It's the diet I am having trouble maintaining. Of course, by diet I don't mean deprivation, I just mean what I put it my body for energy. I am all about vegetables and healthy, good-quality foods...I JUST LOVE FOOD PERIOD and eat too much.
With the tools and SparkPeople and my wonderfully Fabulous Friends that I have had the honor of attaching myself to, I KNOW that I will reach my goals.

My Goals:
I would love to get back between 170-190 and stay there for good. It feels so much better to be healthy that I just don't understand why I don't stay there!
My Program:
Continue my water consumption (never been a hard task for me).
Stay within 1500-1800 calories. Make those calories count, being as nutritious and worthy as possible, as often as possible.
Eat whole, eat happy.
Exercise a minimum of 40 min a day, 5 days a week (7 when possible) incorporating different cardio routines, strength training and separate ab work. HAVE to stay in shape for those strenuous dives!
Keep a positive attitude and remember...life is too short to live unhealthy!
