It is time for a totally refreshed Spark Page, including my introduction. I am 54 years old. Most of my life I have felt and looked younger than my age. However, I believe I am starting to feel my age and I know my weight is one of the factors that is impacting how I feel. I have many incentives to lose weight such as surviving a heart attack, arthritis in knees, I have zippo cartilage, which makes it more difficult to get around every day and the fact that both my mother and grandmother had diabetes. I also believe that I am turning into the aspects of my mom that I totally hate such as being overweight,lacking motivation and now the litany of excuses are creeping in. I need to put a stop to these patterns. She has passed on and now I want to pass on these negative behaviors.

*To stay under 300 for 30 days in a row - then will reward myself
5.10.2011 - goal met - reward will be to get a 90 min facial - wow! It was WONDERFULL!

*to stay under 290 for 30 days -then reward myself

4.24.2011 To lose at least 3 pounds then stay there or less for 1 month.

To become more aware of the food I consume. Will log intake for 1 month. Acknowledging each 5 day streak.

To strengthen my knees and legs so that I can bike this summer.
