Introduction Text I have been using SparkPeople for one year now and I have lost 40 pounds . I am doing this to be a healthy person for the rest of my life. I am 56 and I still want to be comfortable enough to do anything I want. So I decided to live like a healthy person to become one. I’m eating a variety of foods in moderation and exercising daily. My long range goal is to get down to 125 lbs. Right now I am at 161lbs. This is going to happen!

To exercise every day. To eat food that fuels my body. To be accountable for these actions.

I exercise first thing in the morning, so I don’t procrastinate. I record what I eat in SparkPeople and try to keep my calories between 1200 and 1500 a day.

I am married and my kids are grown, so I can now focus on my own health. I should have been doing it all along. I have been focusing on my health for a year now and I am proud that I am sticking with it.
