My Mom always says "Life is what happens when you are making plans." and is she ever right!

Like so many, I struggle everyday with old habits that sabotage my progress; all progress not just weight-lose but personal, family, and spiritual goals as well. I forever find myself making schedules and plans but life keeps interfering!

I refuse to let my struggle with depression, anxiety and feelings of inadequacy to rule my life. These things do not make life easier but when I look back on the past few years I can see the progress I have made regardless of these interfering, and annoying interlopers. That is proof that I can do anything I put my mind too.

Another thing my Mom is fond of saying "You are like a bull dog Holly. When you decide to do something you grab hold and just wont let go." Now, that can be a good trait, and a bad one. Sometimes we just have to learn to let go, because sometimes what we want is not what we need or what is good for us in the end. The trick is learning the difference and letting go when you need too.

My Goals:
My goal is to live a healthy life along with my family, and to teach my son how to live a healthy lifestyle. I want to break the cycle of obesity that runs in both my husbands and , my own family. Our biggest challenges are mindless snacking and lack of motivation for physical activity. So, we are working on breaking those old habits.

My Program:
My family and I ride bikes together, it is not always easy to do, but we try to motivate each other. We are focusing on a low carb low calorie diet. We rotate this with a low cal low fat diet to keep us from gaining the weight we lose back when we eat more cards. We are trying to stay away from breads, rice and pasta, sticking to lower card veggies and lean proteins. We have incorporated protein shakes and protein bars to help keep the cards down and the calories low. We try to get in 5 small meals a day to keep our metabolism going.

I live in Louisiana. My name is Holly. My husband and I have j2 year old son.

Other Information:
I love to read and study the Bible, and motivating and helping others.

    Yes I know I know, its been like seven years. And what an eventful 7 years it has been. So much accomplished, so many changes, so much loss and so many memory's. and non of them involve a thinner me..... YET!

    After many years of struggling with depression and anxiety and crappy jobs and toxic coworkers and work environments that created so much stress I thought at times I couldn't go on, I have finally reached that place. You know the place, the one where you actually want to do something for you, the place where you feel like you can achieve your goals, where you feel good about you and the decisions you are making. After 6 years of it I finally found a place where I can leave it there. After a year in my knew job I feel like a different person. I feel good again and my husband and son are behind me 100%

    I know there will be struggles and fast food pho pas but in the end I know I can do it. As long as God allows breath in me I will keep working at it.
