Um... hi. I'm Holly. I recently turned 19 and I decided I need to get the extra weight off and become happy with my appearance while I'm still young. I consider 20 to be a major turning point in my life and my goal is to be happy with how I look by my 20th birthday, on December 6th of 2009. I tried to start back in August, but with starting college and other drama, it just didn't happen. I'm hoping this time I can stay motivated and reach my goals.

Since I can remember, I've been picked on because of my weight. At 19 years old, I've hit my limit at a little over 250. I've always worn plus size clothes and could never wear what everyone else was wearing when I was growing up. Being picked on has severely affected my confidence and self esteem. I like how I look in the face (most days), and everything else is acceptable to me, except my stomach. If I could just shed some inches in my waist so that my clothes fit a little looser, I believe that I would be a much happier person.

Losing weight is an appearance thing for me, but it is far from a superficial, shallow, or material dream. I want to better myself so that I can accept who I am as a person and gain the confidence I need to succeed in life and set positive examples for my future children.

Weight loss is hard for me. I'm a stress eater, I'm a boredom eater. I like the taste of food too much to stop when I'm full. I hate exercising or being active, and water is my least favorite drink. [Next to Diet Coke, which is utterly repulsive.]

So, it's time for a "lifestyle change."

My Goals:
07/27/09: To lose 50 pounds.

12/06/09: To be at my ideal weight and to be happy with my appearance, as well as more confident, by my 20th birthday.


My Program:
-No more sodas. Period.
-Drink water with meals.
-STOP when you feel full.
-Eat SLOWLY. Put fork down between bites, take a drink of water. Chew slowly.
-Avoid Big Macs, anything from Sonic, foods high in sugars or calories.
-Eat less junk food, and more vegetables and fruits.

-GET ACTIVE.
-Park in the back of parking lots and walk.
-Walk around campus instead of driving.
-Walk around the neighborhood, to the park, walk the beach, walk the bridge, just walk!!

Other Information:
I'm a major music fan. I'm into the Indie and Punk scene mostly and I looove going to concerts. I like to write occasionally and have recently gotten into blogging again. I write fanfiction as well as random blurbs. I love to read and can usually be found with my nose in a book. My favorites are the Twilight books right now.

    Last weekend was super busy, and went by way too fast. I definitely ate too much on Super Bowl Sunday (I LOVE football). Crazy me, these Southern folk don't seem to like having veggie trays, but there was no shortage of cookies or tortilla chips or dips at the party!

    Beware of the SP calorie ranges. Mine was set too low in the beginning, and I was frustrated all the time because I was never within my range. When I realized that I was losing weight at the rate I had planned, I adjusted the calorie ranges so that it was more realistic, and now I stay within them almost every day.

    I can't wait until this weekend when the weather warms up some here and I can go outside and walk! Hope school is going well for you.

    Well, it's finally done, except the citing page and title page. I'll do those tomorrow. I'm also getting a tape recorder so I can hear the lecture tomorrow because I'm more than likely not going to pay attention tomorrow.

    I honestly believe that my professor is trying to kill me. I have some ulcers in my mouth and can only eat stuff like smoothies, mashed potatoes, yogurt, bananas. Pretty much anything that doesn't involve a lot of chewing.
