Life as a working mom is full of challenges, most of which I wouldn't change for the world. But sometimes I'd like more time for myself. I exercise when I can. I've had some setbacks when it comes to running, and I fear I will never get back to where I was pre-pregnancy. But I'm definitely stronger in a lot of ways thanks to yoga, and of course to playing with my big, active toddler.

I also try to eat healthy (although I do have a sweet tooth), and have made a concerted effort to cook and eat more vegetables so I can set a good example for my family.

My Program:
-Run 3x a week
-Stretch every day
-Do yoga 2-3x a week
-Watch portion sizes
-Sweets in moderation
-Eat more vegetables!

Personal Information:
I'm a 32 year old higher education professional. I came to MI for college and I never left (I guess I'm a midwesterner at heart). I've been married since 2005 to my awesome husband. We got our first "baby," a rescue basset hound named Cooper, in April 2010. In April 2011, we had our first baby, Graham Douglas.

    Hello! You know - I was feeling really great and ready to get back to work and move on with my life and then I got sick too! It was a couple days of just feeling uncomfortable in my stomach, full and kind of nauseaus with a low grade fever then two days of body aches, chills, high fever and GI madness and it has now resolved with only three days left before school! Not only that, but of course Carl is sick. Sometimes life never does give you a break! But he'll be better soon and life can finally get back on track. I feel like I've been lost to the world for over a month and it's a bizzare feeling!

    I miss you already! I'm looking forward to my post-work run on this gorgeous day though. Hey, I just figured out that you can save a group of strength training exercises into a workout (check out the tabs at the top of the enter strength training window). Still doesn't count the calories, which is annoying, but at least you don't have to keep entering every move individually.
