Introduction Text I went to the doctor about a week ago to get some drugs for an infection. This was the first time I've been to the doctor in about a year. Unfortunately my weight is back up to where it was when I retired almost 5 years ago. I will be leaving for Hawaii next week and will be there for the month of February. I was originally planning to be there when my grandson was born, but he surprised everyone and decided to come today! I hope to get in more exercise while I'm there and hopefully will start eating better. I need to be a bit healthier to keep up with my grandson as he gets older.

I WANT TO REACH A WEIGHT I FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH AND STAY THERE. MY MOTIVATING MOTTOS: JUST DO IT! IF NOT TODAY, WHEN! I CAN DO IT!

. I take Polynesian Dance class once a week. I have an elliptical trainer and try to do 3o minutes when I use it. When I don't feel like doing anything else I will dance in front of the TV or march in place for 30 minutes. Anything to get me moving. Eat at least 2 fruits and veggies daily. Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily.

My name is Helen and I am from Willoughby, OH (near Cleveland). I have been married almost 37 years to a wonderful man. Our wedding anniversary is December 7th (a day that will live in infamy, according to my brother) I have a daughter, Kelly, who is 26 and is in the Navy. She is now stationed in Hawaii. I have a 7 year old African Grey parrot named Pippin who like his Hobbit namesake, likes to get into things he shouldn't. We also have a new Grey Leia who is 1. I enjoy all type of dancing and tale Polynesian Dance Classes. I watch all the dance shows on TV. I love to read, especially Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. I am also a fan of Jane Austen, Nora Roberts, and James Patterson. I do read many genre of books including fantasy and mystery.
