I am soon to be 60 years of age and I have struggled with my weight off and on now for the past few years. I am so unhappy right now with my life and my weight gain. But still I eat my comfort foods. They soothe me when life is holding me down and I fell like there's no sense in trying anymore. Maybe it's ok to be chubby ? The battle rages on.

I am an Environmental Laboratory Technician. I have been married for 41 years now. I 'd like to retire in 4 years.

Take a moment today to thank God for your pets. Enjoy and take good care of them.

As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

    I hear your discouragement. Let me encourage you to make the commitment to sparkpeople: check in every day, work on getting those sparkpoints through posting your food, drinking your water, reading articles to learn more, and doing your exercise. Don't try to change everything at once, but commit to making small changes over time and you will learn how to build a healthy lifestyle that will enable you to sustain the changes you make.
