Hello world! I'm Ellie, a molecular genetics PhD student who loves animals, singing, and being in nature. I had a bit of a health scare recently and decided it was finally time to lose all the weight I packed on in the past 5 years. I always thought it was a later me problem, maybe for when I got married or wanted to have kids, but I can't put it off any longer... I'm 255 lbs as of starting so I've got a long way to go, but I know I can do it!

    Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I'm totally trying not to get too fixated on the "how long is this going to take at this rate" thing, although sometimes it's hard. But I figure for as many years as I've been struggling with weight off and on, even if I was just losing a teeny bit, the consistency is what I ought to focus on! Days and months are going to eventually show up on my doorstep one day regardless, so if I'm 5 lbs down or 50 lbs down, it's better than where I am starting. At least that's my current mantra.
