I choose to live!
I've been a member for years but not successfully--probably because I wasn't very committed or wasn't committed consistently enough. I've read a few blogs on here recently that i found utterly inspiring, and I hope I can make some progress now. I need to, since I'm in constant pain now, especially in my lower back.

My Goals:
I want to learn to deal with my feelings more directly and not by numbing them with food. I want to care for myself rather than turning towards self-destructive behaviors.
I'd like to lose 1.5 pounds each week.
reach 240 by August 14, when I get back to NJ from NH (lose 15 pounds in the next 6 weeks)
I want to record when I no longer wear a 24W or a 2 or 3x
My Program:
Weigh in every morning--not to get an accurate weight but just to see how my weight fluctuates at different times of the month and in response to different foods--just to collect data.
One of my goals, for now, is to:
*cook from slenderkitchen.com.
1)work out at the gym at least 3 times a week, in some form.
2) use the tracker or food diary in order to learn not to overeat and to enjoy my food.
3) notice when I'm feeling "stuck" and do something about it that'll help me get where I want to go. Often this will mean I need to think over why I'm not willing to accept self-nurturing.

Other Information:
Life is just a mirror, and what you see out there, you must first see inside of you.
